1. Safety
- No Steering Limitation
- If a child crashes we want the handlebar to turn "flat," NOT be limited by the bike
- Steering limiters INCREASE
the danger to a child of being poked by the handlebar
- STRIDERTM Progression Steering
- The STRIDERTM steering starts out stiff
and as the child progresses in skill level the steering naturally loosens and
soon acts just like the larger pedal bikes
- Children need to learn
their own steering limits, not have the bike limit their learning!
- No Awkward Footrest
- STRIDERTM features a patent-pending,
integrated, LaunchpadTM footrest that doesn’t inhibit
or endanger children’s feet or shins
- ONLY balance bike with
footrests properly positioned BELOW the saddle.
- Other bike’s footrests
either get in the way or are in the wrong place!
- This footrest design
allows 18 month old children to use the bike and 5 year old children to place
their feet up in a stable position when ready to glide
- Older children can also
STAND on the footrests (just like standing on pedals) allowing for advanced
riding skills to develop
- No Useless Brakes
- Some “other” balance bikes
have lever actuated brake
- This is dangerous for
several reasons
- Young children’s hands
just aren’t strong enough to USE the brake
- Confusing to the child
- False sense of security
for the adult/parent, the brakes don’t work!
- STRIDERTM has an optional foot
activated brake
- Children’s first instinct
to stop is to put their feet down
- Most kids won’t even need
a brake, they simply stop themselves the same way they started, with their
feet!
- Strider Sports does not
recommend our optional brake until the child is proficient at gliding with
their feet up
- This is a fun option for
learning skids, slides, and speed modulation
2. No/Low Maintenance
- STRIDER’sTM Sealed bearing wheels
require only occasional (once a year) lubrication
- STRIDER’sTM EVA Polymer tyres mean no
filling tires and no flat tyres!
3. Quality and Support
- The STRIDERTM frame, fork, and handlebar
are made from strong, light-weight, steel
- All parts are carefully
selected, high quality, parts
- The STRIDERTM meets EU safety standards
EN71
- Strider Sports offers a
full line of replacement parts and accessories for the STRIDERTM
Toddler Mobility – Size
For toddlers to use a
balance bike it MUST be as small as possible and as light as possible.
This is what allows toddlers
to take STRIDERTM off-road.
Put the child in control , not the bike!
- Weight
- STRIDERTM weighs just 6.9
pounds….fundamentally important for small riders
- Note the 2½ year old
toddler in the initial photo easily lifting the STRIDERTM
- We have a 2 year old girl
who often CARRIES her STRIDERTM!
- Adjustable Seat Height
- 11” – 16” from the ground
- As high as 19” with
Extended Seat Post
- Critical to adjust to fit
children’s ever-changing inseams
- Adjustable Handlebar
Height
- Allows for proper setup as
the child grows
- 20” – 22” Height
Adjustment Range
- The small size of the
STRIDERTM means it’s truly able to
accommodate children aged from18 months to 5+ years old child
